The Clemson Society of Plastic Engineers (Clemson SPE) is an organization for students who have an interest in plastics – whether it be packaging, manufacturing, design, or any of the many disciplines throughout the plastics industry.

Clemson SPE is open to all students, undergraduate and graduate, from any major. We have students from mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, packaging science, chemistry, automotive engineering, and more.

Throughout each semester, we bring in speakers from the plastics industry to talk about their companies and lecture on critical topics in their sector of the industry. We also go on plant tours, hold networking nights, and engage in community outreach to spread knowledge about plastics.

We are sponsored by the Carolinas Chapter of SPE, and we regularly participate and/or co-host events with them.
